Regulatory notice

Zimbabwe compliance

Zimbabwe’s estate agency framework governs the marketing of immovable property in Zimbabwe. AD PROPS aligns its listing rules with the Estate Agents regulator framework in each country to protect buyers, sellers, tenants and landlords.

Who can list properties for sale

Only estate agents registered with their national regulator may market property for sale on AD PROPS. Every sale listing must display the agent's firm name and Regulator registration number. Private individuals may still advertise rental properties they personally own.

Written mandate requirement

Before publishing a sale or auction listing, the agent must upload a signed mandate from the property owner authorising the marketing. Mandate documents are stored privately and reviewed by AD PROPS administrators on request.

Trust account and consumer protection

Agents are responsible for handling client funds through a registered trust account in line with local regulator guidance. AD PROPS does not process payments between buyers and sellers. Disputes should be reported to your national regulator in addition to our team.

Report a concern

If you believe a listing violates local real-estate regulations — including unauthorised marketing, false credentials, or a missing mandate — please contact our team and we will investigate.
